The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease that causes severe acute respiratory illness and can spread among humans through respiratory transmission. Identified by the World Health Organization in December 2019, this worldwide concern has dictated a public health emergency.

BioFlorida recognizes the need to share important information involving COVID-19 with our members and the Community. Our Resource Center is updated regularly with the latest data, legislation and programs for businesses and research in the state, news about diagnostics, vaccines and therapeutics, and ways to contribute to the fight against COVID-19.

On behalf of the hospitals, healthcare systems, life sciences companies and thousands of healthcare workers of Florida, we are asking all life sciences and other organizations to consider how you may be able to help bring additional supplies and other resources to our healthcare institutions so they can continue to test and treat patients with COVID-19.

We ask you to share this list within your organizations, check your storerooms and supplies, and for those who have supplies / materials to sell or donate to the state, please use the Florida’s Department of Emergency Management (DEM) link to enter that information.
