Nancy K. Bryan | President & CEO

Nancy Bryan joined BioFlorida in May 2013 and serves as its President and CEO. Nancy has 25 years of experience in the life sciences in commercial positions of increasing responsibility involving primary care, biologics and specialty markets. Her experience began with major pharmaceutical companies (MERCK, GlaxoSmithKline) and progressed to executive leadership positions in specialty pharmaceuticals and smaller, start-up biotech companies (Indevus Pharmaceuticals, NPS Pharmaceuticals). Most recently, Nancy was the SVP of Commercial Operations responsible for leading marketing, sales, reimbursement and distribution. In this role, she has served on executive leadership teams and boards and played a key role in companies’ successes including business development, financing initiatives and investor and PR communications. Throughout her career, Nancy has developed, launched and commercialized many products including: blockbusters (Zantac, Levitra), major biologics (Tysabri) and orphan drugs for rare diseases (Valstar for bladder cancer, Supprelin LA for central precocious puberty)  and has established franchises in a wide variety of therapeutic areas including: Oncology, Anti-infectives, GI and Autoimmune (MS,CD). Nancy earned a BA in Economics from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Columbia University. Academic honors include Phi Beta Kappa and Beta Gamma Sigma. Nancy currently serves as a Board Member for SEBIO, an Investment Advisory Committee Member for SEED Tampa Bay and on the Advisory Committee of Health & Wellness for the DeSantis-Nuñez Transition team.

Stacey Silver | VP, Marketing & Membership

Stacey Silver joined BioFlorida in March 2007 as Director of Marketing and Membership and has since taken on the role of Vice President, Member Relations. Stacey brings 10+ years of direct marketing, strategic communications, media and customer outreach, and editorial experience to the organization. Prior to joining BioFlorida, Stacey was the Marketing Communications Manager for Sun Valley Worldwide, a national industrial recycling firm located in Delray Beach, FL. There, Stacey was instrumental in landing several national accounts and worked closely with the president to establish a brand and identity for recycling initiatives. Stacey was also solely responsible for obtaining over $1M in tax state incentives for the company.  

Prior to moving to sunny Florida, Stacey worked for a public REIT in Columbia, MD as the Director of Marketing. Other industries Stacey has worked for include telecommunications, antenna technology, healthcare and nuclear medicine. Stacey received her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from The Ohio State University, and her MBA from the University of Maryland.

Tara Ann Coleman | Director, Operations & Strategic Planning

Tara Ann Coleman joined BioFlorida in 2009 and is currently the Director of Operations and Strategic Planning. In this position, she oversees the general office operations for BioFlorida and provides administrative support to the CEO, staff and the Board of Directors. Tara’s skills include reporting, marketing strategy, volunteer management, data analysis and contract management. She is responsible for overseeing the financials and providing analysis to guide the company's strategic initiatives. Additionally, Tara manages the company's member discount programs and plays an influential role in organizing and fundraising for statewide conferences, including the Annual Conference and the Celebration of Biotechnology.

Tara has a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences (molecular) with a minor in Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University and is currently pursuing her MBA from Lynn University.
