AWARD WINNERS ANNOUNCED

On October 23, 2019 Florida's life sciences community recognized outstanding achievements in the industry at the #BioFL19  Annual Conference


CONGRATULATIONS TO THIS YEARS AWARD WINNERS


Nominations for the 2019 BioFlorida Awards were submitted by Sept. 13, 2019.

Award recipients were determined by a panel of industry experts and
announced at the recent BioFlorida Annual Conference.

Weaver H. Gaines Entrepreneur of the Year Award was presented to Jeffrey L. Tate, PhD, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Quality Officer for Cyclo Therapeutics

The Weaver H. Gaines Entrepreneur of the Year Award honors an individual who has made extraordinary contributions to the growth of Florida's life sciences industry in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical technology or bioagriculture. The award is named in honor of Weaver Gaines, one of the founding directors of BioFlorida. Criteria

David J. Gury Company of the Year Award was presented to Adam Grossman, Co-Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer at ADMA Biologics, Inc.

The David J. Gury Company of the Year Award honors a company that has achieved significant milestones and has contributed to the growth of Florida's life sciences industry. The award is named in honor of David Gury, one of the founding directors of BioFlorida. Criteria

BioFlorida Leadership Awards were presented to Tamara Mandell, Director, Education and Training Programs at the University of Florida's CERHB and Jane Teague, Executive Director of the Institute for Commercialization of Florida Technology 

The BioFlorida Leadership Award recognizes the BioFlorida volunteer who has taken on a leadership role within the organization, dedicated significant time to BioFlorida's mission and has acted as a true ambassador to BioFlorida and the industry. Criteria

Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Mark Long, Director of Incubation Services, University of Florida

The BioFlorida Lifetime Achievement Award is reserved for recognizing an individuals' outstanding leadership in the industry throughout their career that has significantly contributed to the growth of the industry. Criteria
