The Florida Venture Forum is hosting its 21^st Venture Capital Conference at the Naples Grande Beach Resort in Naples, Florida on January 31-February 1, 2012, and is currently accepting applications from companies to present at the Conference.   This Conference is the premier event in the state of Florida that enables companies to present and have access to venture capitalists from all over the country.   Here are some quick facts regarding the Conference and the companies that have presented in the past:

·         The Florida Venture Forum is Florida’s only statewide later stage Venture Capital Conference. This Conference has been rated on the of the top three venture capital conferences in the country by the National Venture Capital Association.

·         The Conference has attracted over $2.5 Billion of venture capital, to date, to Florida-based companies since its inception.

·         Seven of the companies that have presented at previous Conferences are now publicly traded.

·         Companies that are looking to apply that have not presented at the Florida Venture Forum Conference within the last two years can apply online at this web address which links from the Florida Venture Forum website http://apply.flvencap.org/logon.asp .

·         The Selection Committee is looking for companies with the following criteria:

o    Companies with revenues of $3 million to $5 million dollars

o    Preference given to technology enabled companies, however, the Selection Committee will consider all industries

o    Early Stage companies that have management teams with domain expertise and/or have raised institutional capital will receive consideration

o    There is also a focus on Life Science companies with no revenue requirement

·         The online application is a relatively simple process that will be reviewed by a Selection Committee, which is comprised of venture capitalists. If selected, presenting companies will be charged $499 for the first conference attendee and a $275 booth fee. There is and optional fee of $255 per additional attendee.
