A Spain-based Biotechnology Company Enters American Market Through Miami-Dade County

(Miami, FL - June 26, 2015) - Bird Biotech America, LLC, a Spain-based company dedicated to scientific research, development and innovation in biotechnology, has entered the U.S. market with its first location within the University of Miami Life Science and Technology Park. The company will develop and oversee the North and South American markets, adding 10 above-average paying local jobs and $50,000 in new capital investment within three years.

The Beacon Council assisted the company with site selection, employee relocation assistance, business contacts and referrals along with general community information.

According to the company website, Bird Biotech America, LLC parent company Newbiotechnic was founded in Seville, Spain in 1999 by researchers from the Universities of Seville and Salamanca. The company applies scientific solutions to social progress and quality of life through its lines of work impacting plant health and sustainable agriculture, food quality and safety, and personalized medicine.
