Any number of BioFlorida member employees can join and participate in BioFlorida committees. Committee chairs may change and/or set participation limits and qualifications as warranted. Committee meetings are only for current BioFlorida members and not open to the public. Additional information about committees and contact details can be found on the member-only pages of this site.

Annual Conference Planning Committee
Purpose: To coordinate logistics, sponsorships, marketing, program and speakers for the BioFlorida Annual Conference.
Chair: Deborah Sutherland, PhD - University of South Florida CAMLS

Business Growth Committee
Purpose: To identify the capital needs for Florida’s bioscience industry and recommend/implement new programs to recruit funds, assist companies with fundraising, etc.
Chair: Leslie Molony, PhD, Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute at Lake Nona

Government Affairs Committee
Purpose: To identify and recommend legislative and economic development priorities on a state and national level.
Chair: 

Marketing Committee
Purpose: To guide member & industry outreach through the flowing program areas: website, email, newsletters, online & print directory, online social networks, online bulletin board, industry marketing and communications strategy.

Membership Committee
Purpose: To recommend programs and benefits to support BioFlorida's members, and to identify and recruit new members.
Chair: Patti Breedlove, UF Sid Martin Biotechnology Incubator

Nominating Committee
Purpose: To identify and recommend new BioFlorida director and committee candidates.
Chair: David L. Day, University of Florida

Programs & Events (P&E) Committee
Purpose: Carry out the networking activities of the organization through the statewide coordination, planning and implementation of BioFlorida events.
Chair: David L. Day, University of Florida

NETWORKS

Any number of BioFlorida member employees can join and participate in BioFlorida networks. Network chairs may change and/or set participation limits and qualifications as warranted. Network meetings and/or roundtable discussions are only for current BioFlorida members and not open to the public. It is important to understand that these networks are peer-to-peer networks and are not open to solicitations.

Emerging Leaders Network
Purpose: To identify and cultivate the next generation of emerging leaders in the industry. Network is limited to students and young professionals entering the bioscience industry.
